Christmas Eve 2013

We had Christmas festivities tonight with Chad's family. In total there were 20 people there. Mark did okay for the first while then the "happy noises" of my day began. 

Earlier in the day Mark had been asking over and over to open the presents under the tree and if he could go to bed to speed Santa's arrival. 

Happy joyous moments and memories. Then when he started feeling overwhelmed by the number of his family present in one room he started to become overwhelmed and shutting done. Grateful it was a shutdown not a meltdown day. 

I'm sitting here reminding myself that today was a great day overall and tomorrow should be an even better day.
